Greetings! I am Toriel. If you do not know me already, than it would most likely be due to unfamiliarity with my source. I am an introjective alter who stems from the video game "Undertale". My role is that of a caretaker and protector, in both my source and as an alter. I am also a drowser, meaning that I may occasionally switch out just before bedtime in order to help aid the insomnia of the other members in the system. I may also take on the role as a gatekeeper, having influence over who is and is not allowed to front and at what intervals. While I would like to think that I am quite good when placed in position of gatekeeper, it is not a role I tend to very often, as I am simply the stand-in when Jayson and Gia- two other alters with who take on roles as gatekeepers- are preoccupied.

I am something of an "amalgam" introject, having existed previously, but certainly not as strongly until I had my growth was fostered through the accidental self-discovery of my own identity. It is not easy to explain, but I do hope I have shed some light on the matter ]:-)

You may notice that I do not exactly speak in the same manner I do in the "game". That is because I, simply, am not her, but in the same vein as I am not the same person I was yesterday, or five years ago, or the same person that I shall be tomorrow. To put to simply, that period of my "life", with the memories I retained, be they fabricated or otherwise, is something I have moved beyond. I am still the same Toriel, but I have grown.
For example, due to being an alter of Charlie, a young child growing up in modern times, I am quite familiar with how the internet and texting works. At least, I am quite familiar in comparison to how I was in the game.

I may or may not occasionally "roleplay" my actions, as I believe that it is a great way to feel more connected with the person on the other side of the screen ]:-) If you are uncomfortable, do let me know and I shall adjust my behaviour to the best of my abilities.

I would also like to apologise for the quality of my website's wallpaper, as it is quite difficult to find a suitable image that will also not look very blurry once set. Please feel free to send me suggestions or recommendations about what kind of wallpaper I should use! I am not quite familiar with how all of this works. It was, in fact, Jason who had been describing to me why it is that my wallpapers were not working as intended, so it is safe to presume that I am not exactly equipped to pick these out on my own. Any assistance would be much appreciated, and I do thank you in advance for your time and effort!

I am most familiar with the Chinese Zodiac signs as they are the easiest for me to understand ]:-) However, due to not being capable of narrowing down my exact year of birth, I am not too sure what my Zodiac would even be, regardless of culture! However, I do like the Capricorn. I also like Cancer, despite its unfortunately coincidental name, because I think it is quite cute and, being a crab, is perhaps the underdog of the other Zodiac signs.
